Free Hugs Day In PerthMY GOD!
only 5 people rocked up today! *tear* originally there wer about 19 at one stage, then they all canceled on me or didn't show up!
hrmm o well....
-we recruited an emo guy who i forgot the name of todya which was enjoyable. -
-Some lady who was a chaplin gave us $5 for charity which i still have because we couldn't find a charitable cause.
- An old man gave me a talk about how the whole free hugs thing/ hugs thing was started in the 1970's when they first wrote the deffinition for a hug and started giving them out to children at camp quality.
- We were going to recruit more people but we didn't have any signs... *mental note* everyone needs to bring and extra sign
- Another old lady started giving me a talk about how what i'm doing and getting other people to do is a great thing, then asked me if i could explain the term "emo" to her seeing as her grand daughter is apparently starting to become one...
the best rejections ever:
1) sped+ i were at the train station becasu we were waiting for other people.. and there was this kid standing there waiting for his friend to come, lo we deicded he looked lonley so we started creeping up to him with the free hugs sign, then decided to run and catch him and eventually give him a hug, but he ran away *tear*
2) some guy was in a car and there was a traffic jam, i showed him my sign and held my arms out like i was going to hug him and he said no and rolled up his window slowly
3)some girls were in a cafe and i stuck my sign up against the window, lol they rejected me, and because my friends and i kept walking up and down that area, i kept doing it to them.. it think they got pissed off
4) the stuck up preps who'd be like "ummm NO!" a few guys would do so too
5) i liked it when the people god shy and embarrassed, smiled at me then said no thank you
6) a popular line for rejection used today was "nah i'll be right, i'll get some from my husband/ lady friend at home"
7) some lady acctually called me a lesbian for offering a hug
8) "are you on acid!?!"
i've realised that quite a few guys this time tried to get their friends to hug me, but i ended up huging them instead... lol they try to not get a hug but they fail!
little kids give the best hugs!
hrmm.... i honestly can't think of anything more
NOTE TO ALL FUTURE HUGGERS:
ADD STRING AROUND THE SIGN SO YOU CAN HANG IT OFF YOUR NECK WHEN YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED CARRYING IT!
